BAYS XMAS RUN - WHAKATANE MOUNT ROTORUA 2ND DEC

 Whakatane Hash hosted the 2019 Bays Xmas run on Monday Dec 2nd at the Pikowai Campground Matata.  

Over 60 hashers turned out for this very popular annual run.   

Around 30 Mount hashers made the trip led by GM Copteaser, many of them in their Motor homes.   2 minivan loads of Rotorua hashers also arrived.   Add in the locals, including GM Noodles and returnee Daisy and it was a lively ol evening.  

Noodles and Fireman Jim had been out pigeon shooting so barbequed pigeon wrapped in bacon greeted arrivals, along with seafood fritters. 

Rotorua GM Bruno led the Rotorua contingent that included the young guns plus notaries like Xerox, Shortplanx, Father and Meilei and Jubes. 

The run itself was a very scenic affair with runners and walkers catered for.  Daisy and Fireman Jim manned Pissstop one which later turned into Pissstop two.  

Back at headquarters and Noodles ran the circle which welcomed visiting GM’s, Ex NZGMs, hares and others. 

Then food was up with a plentiful supply of chicken, beef, lamb, potatoes, puha and other delicacies. 

There would have been plenty left for breakfast for those camping over.
